Manu Joseph tries. I wish I could say he succeeds a little bit, but he doesn't. This book was supposed to be humorous, and maybe it even was in parts, but it lacked any sense of urgency or anticipation. I just never felt like picking it up to read further. In parts it was condescending, in parts humorous, in parts it was poorly written and generally it wasn't well edited. What does it have going for it? Well, not much for the reader. But given that it's Joseph's first book, I wouldn't be surprised if he came out with something more finely tuned in his next work.
